Museum [for a day] is a unique opportunity for the general public to enter a working train yard and learn directly from railroaders and rail historians. It also provides the URHS with the ability to properly interpret its historic collection in a professional setting.

At 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, volunteer URHS tour guides will meet with any members of the public that wish to attend at the west end of the Boonton Freight House. From there, they will conduct a roughly one-hour walking tour of the entire Museum [for a day], discussing the history, significance, preservation, and restoration of each locomotive, vehicle, and railcar. This is a free activity for all who wish to attend!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We'll see you at the yard!
