The Tri-State Railway Historical Society is sponsoring two special events at Museum [for a day] for the Boy Scouts of America.
EARN A SPECIAL RAILROAD PATCH
Scouts will experience New Jersey railroad history while exploring New Jersey's largest railroad event. Those who complete all of the requirements (which will be available on-site) will receive a special edition commemorative caboose patch (pictured here).
Participating Scouts will need $5.00 for their event admission fee and closed-toe shoes to safely explore the rail equipment. This is open to any and all Scouts that attend the event!
EARN Railroading Merit Badge
A special class, limited to just 15 Scouts, will be held by Railroad Merit Badge counselors at the Museum [for a day] event from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Scouts will learn about railroad safety, interview real railroaders, experience New Jersey railroad history, and earn Railroading Merit Badge in just one day!
Participating Scouts will need $5.00 for their event admission fee and closed-toe shoes to safely explore the rail equipment. Slots are limited to 15 Scouts and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact Ed Kohler at Ed@TriStateRail.org with your name, troop number, rank, email address, and phone number to sign up!
